Maebashi's Area

The area of Maebashi City is 311.59km2 and it occupies 4.9 percent of Gunma Prefecture. In April 1892 Maebashi City''s area was only 7.71km2. After eight annexations that included many small towns and villages, Maebashi grew to 40 times its original size. Now Maebashi City stretches 20km from east to west and 27km from north to south.
